Front Cover Mock Up

This mock up is very much inspired by spin.  Very minimalistic but also very inviting.  I used an idea i took from doing my research into codes and convention - matching her lip colour to the box around the mashead:

This cover from NME was one of the covers i analysed while doing my research and i particularly liked the way the colour of the masthead matched the seat in the main image, thus linking them together.





I put this mock up to my focus group to get their opinions:

Taking the opinions of my focus group into account i will make sure the word 'featuring' is much easier to read in my final production.  I will also use Ed's idea and make the 'U' a pause button, if my focus group decide they like the name Pause best.  I will also have the issue number somewhere on the cover.
